Abstract

Ocular trauma is a wide and vast subject. As ophthalmology in general, over the past 50 years technology, clinical understanding and surgical results have improved dramatically leading to the fact that nowadays a traumatized eye is a challenge but the results in maintaining the best of its anatomy and visual function are satisfactory. The aim of this article is to present the management and surgical results of various types of ocular trauma. Three cases of ocular contusion with hyphema, subluxated lens, irido and cyclodialysis which underwent second step surgery for traumatic cataract and pupilloplasty and two cases of penetrating ocular trauma which suffer emergency surgery.
